Governor David M. Apatang proudly proclaims September 2026 as Chamorro and Carolinian Cultural Heritage Month, celebrating the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and values that define the Commonwealth.
Throughout the month, the CNMI honors its ancestors, traditional chiefs, clans, Samwool, Maga’lahi, and all those who have worked to preserve its cultural heritage for generations to come. The month also commemorates Chief Aghurubw and the 40th Anniversary of the 13 fishermen lost at sea.
