Governor David M. Apatang has proclaimed September and October 2026 as CNMI Prevention & Recovery Awareness Months, recognizing the importance of behavioral health, substance use prevention, suicide prevention, and recovery throughout the Commonwealth.
Under this year’s theme, “Rooted to Rise,” the observance reflects the strength and resilience of our people. Just as strong roots help trees withstand the fiercest storms, our families, culture, traditions, and communities provide the foundation that helps us endure challenges, heal, and move forward together.
Governor Apatang reaffirms the Commonwealth’s commitment to promoting wellness, reducing stigma, encouraging people to seek support, and ensuring that individuals and families have access to hope, healing, and recovery.
