Strengthening Our Commonwealth: Governor Proclaims March as American Red Cross Month

Governor David M. Apatang proudly proclaimed March 2026 as American Red Cross Month in the Commonwealth, joined by community partners, local Red Cross board members and volunteers, and special guests from the American Red Cross regional office, Renise L. Haili Bayne, Regional Disaster Officer, and Molly Schmidt, Regional Chief Executive Officer.

The Commonwealth’s voice was heard in Washington.

During the 902 Consultations recently held in Washington, D.C., Governor David M. Apatang and a unified CNMI delegation met with federal leaders to advance solutions that support economic stability, workforce sustainability, and stronger national security partnerships in the Pacific.

During the 902 consultations, Governor David M. Apatang met with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for an extensive and insightful dialogue. The meeting served as a transformative opportunity to brief one of the White House’s most senior officials on the specific challenges and opportunities within the CNMI.
