Governor Joins Japanese Delegates for Memorial Service Honoring WWII Fallen

This week, the Governor and his staff joined visiting delegates from Japan for a solemn and meaningful memorial service honoring the fallen soldiers of World War II. High Priest Kansho Kayaki led a Sanpoen blessing at each site in Marpi to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.

For nearly 40 years, this visiting group has worked alongside the Mayor’s Office to foster cultural and student exchange between our islands and Japan.
