September is CNMI Cultural Heritage Month

Governor David M. Apatang has proclaimed September as a time to celebrate and honor our Chamorro and Carolinian heritage. From school outreach programs, cultural workshops, and the Chamorro & Carolinian Language Symposium(9/25-9/26), to Chief Aghurubw Day (9/20) and the closing Puengin Chahan Uuwm (9/27), this month is filled with opportunities to learn, share, and live our traditions.

“Our stories, our languages, our customs, our core values are not simply memories of the past, but important values that identify us today.” – Governor Apatang
