The NMI Museum, under the Office of the Governor, proudly welcomed the historic return of more than 10,000 ancestral artifacts – including latte stones from Guam and the CNMI – to the Marianas. Their arrival was celebrated in a homecoming ceremony that honored the deep cultural significance of these treasures and the importance of returning them to their rightful resting place.
This moment marked a profound step in restoring our cultural heritage and strengthening the connection between our people and the traditions, knowledge, and legacy of our ancestors.
