CUC and NMHC to begin water tank replacement projects for Saipan and Tinian

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres, through the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation (CUC) and the Northern Marianas Housing Corporation (NMHC), announces the beginning of the initial phase of three (3) water tank replacement projects for the islands of Saipan and Tinian as part of resiliency efforts in the event of a major disaster, as well as to provide safe drinking and running water for residents.

Veteran town hall meetings kick off next Monday

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres, through the CNMI Office of the Governor and the CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs, invites all veterans residing on Saipan to a series of veteran town hall meetings to discuss issues of concern for veterans and military families.

CNMI Division of Energy Announces Energizing Insular Communities (EIC) Appliance Rebate Program

The CNMI Energy Division Office is pleased to inform residential homeowners on Saipan that unredeemed or expired Appliance Rebate Vouchers under Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Energizing Insular Communities Energy Efficient, Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program (CNMI-EIC-EEESARP) will be made available to assist other interested residential homeowners in replacing old and inefficient appliances with ones that qualified Energy-Efficient/Energy Star rated products such as Refrigerators, Clothes Washers, Split and Window Type Air Conditioner units for a limited time or until funds run out, whichever comes first.  Due to limited funding availability, rebate vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Saipan residents only.

FEMA and CNMI IRP to conduct coastal construction trainings in November

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in partnership with the CNMI Infrastructure and Recovery Program (IRP) under the Office of the Governor, will be conducting free trainings and small group sessions throughout the month of November to address coastal construction techniques.
