EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2022-03

SUBJECT: RENEWAL OF DECLARATION OF STATE OF PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY AND CONTINUED DECLARATION OF STATE OF SIGNIFICANT EMERGENCY ESTABLISHING RESPONSE, QUARANTINE, AND PREVENTIVE CONTAINMENT MEASURES CONCERNING CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19); AND,

No on-arrival COVID-19 test required, unvaccinated travelers required to test five days after arrival

The safety and health of the residents of the CNMI remain the top priorities of the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC). With approximately 99% of the CNMI’s eligible population fully vaccinated and approximately 53% of those fully vaccinated having received a booster shot, the epidemiological data, and the state of the health system in the CNMI, entry protocols will be updated.

Torres Administration Highlights Infrastructure Plans for the CNMI in DC Talks

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, CNMI Department of Finance Secretary David DLG. Atalig delivered remarks on behalf of Governor Ralph DLG. Torres to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the U.S. Department of the Interior Interagency Group on Insular Affairs (IGIA) in Washington, D.C.

Governor Torres: I am in good spirits and grateful for our Healthcare Workers and Task Force

“I would like to let the community know that after having been in close-contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19, I received a COVID-19 antigen test administered by the Task Force on Sunday, January 30th and was informed shortly after that I tested positive for COVID-19.”
“Before Sunday, I took COVID-19 tests on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and had tested negative on all three of those tests.”
